I was first aware of Christopher when his mother Barbara gave birth to him on the same day that I had my daughter Susan in the Victoria Hospital, Lichfield and we have remained friends ever since.My late Husband Philip and myself Betty, observed his development into a fine young man with an interesting career which eventually took him to Ireland and Germany and also his up's and downs in life.I remember the holidays we had in our Caravan adjacent to Barbara & Huberts Caravan at Llangwnnadl on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales and many happy times we spent at the family homes in Mill Lane, Hammerwich.

Christopher It has been an honour to work for and with you. I will miss your challenges and your encouraging way to bring us out of our normal to something new combining this with your hearty humor.

We’re so glad we had the opportunity last year at a family event to speak to Christopher and catch up with family news. Rest in Peace.

Chris - very many of us will miss you for your warmth, friendship, good humour and your ever being willing to help. You never lost sight of the people or their community with whom you worked to do what you could to ensure they too would benefit greatly from your vision and your work. So you will long be remembered with affection as well as gratitude by many, not merely in Ireland but elsewhere. God rest you at the last, Chris.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
